RUTTING IN ZAMORA, SIERRA DE LA CULEBRA
Iberian deer are found throughout the Iberian Peninsula in a wide variety of habitats, including mountain forests, dehesas, riparian zones and scrub areas. The largest bucks in open country can weigh over 200kg and are found in the north of Spain, where trophy stags can be harvested. We also manage private estates where the best deer trophies can be harvested easier with some very eye-catching trophies.
The best time to hunt big deer is during the rutting season in September/October, especially in open areas where hunting is harder and more complicated. These ungulates, like the majority of deer species, concentrate their greatest activity during the first light of day and at dusk when the sun’s rays disappear over the horizon, when it is easier to spot them grazing in our meadows and forests. Large specimens can be shot on enclosed estates throughout the season, which runs from September to February.

HIGH MOUNTAIN RUTTING
Hunting during the high mountain rut is one of the most impressive spectacles in Spain. In addition to finding a very high quality of trophies, hunting is spectacular due to the beauty of the environment, the wildness and purity of the stalking.
We have hunting permits in the best areas of the Sierra de la Culebra and Zamora, where there is a very high quality of trophies and a high density of animals.
It is a demanding hunt, since we develop stalks of several hours in which different animals are observed and the rut is enjoyed in all its apogee.
