ROEBUCK STALKING

ROEBUCK STALKING IN SPAIN

IN THE BEST AREAS OF SPAIN

The roe deer is a small ungulate found in Europe. It is 20-25 kg in size and is distinguished by its reddish coat in summer and greyish coat in winter. Its antlers are branched and are renewed annually. It is agile and adapts well to a variety of habitats, such as forests, moors and fields. It is a highly prized hunting species due to its beauty and cautious behavior.

It is hunted both in enclosed forests and in long stretches of fields. Its territorial nature makes them stay at the same area, making this area smaller as the season progresses. It is therefore very important that before the hunting season begins, a good scouting is made so we know the density of specimens and the areas where they move around. This is done in order to be able to provide a successful hunt, knowing perfectly well their feeding areas.

The roe deer, despite being spread throughout most of the peninsula, has a greater number of specimens in the area of Castilla y León (Burgos, Soria, Palencia, Segovia, etc).

The hunting season runs from 1st April to October, with a break in August. The most recommended time for hunting is between April and July (this last month coinciding with the rutting season).

GOLD MEDAL ROE DEER

Due to the good population balance in our hunting areas, we can annually shoot many measurable roe deer, some of them exceeding 180 CIC points.

REPRESENTATIVE

This type of roe deer is perfect to enjoy good hunting days, at a cheaper price. We have large hunting areas and we can offer the opportunity to make several roe deer packs.

BOWHUNTING

The roe deer hunting with bow is in full swing, being more and more hunters who decide to venture into this modality, thus overcoming the great challenge of shooting a roe deer with the bow, either waiting from a blind or tree stand, to stalking them in the bush or fields.

THE BEST AREAS OF BURGOS

We have several hunting areas extending over more than 6,000 hectares, mainly in the province of Burgos.

In this province we find one of the best hunting areas, where year after year the roe deer population keeps growing and offering great trophies.

In this area we find the perfect habitat for roe deer, mixing large extensions of fields with hillsides of pines and undergrowth.
